The Inn at Felt Manor

The building was beautiful! From The parlor to the library to the dining room, the place was fantastic! Everything was very clean and well maintained. The evening wine and tea was a very nice touch as well. Bottles of water were always made available as well. The room was very large and very clean. The bed was a tad uncomfortable and any movement was felt. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! The meal was huge and freshly prepared. One of the best meals I ate in Galena.

Had the absolute BEST stay at Felt Manor this past weekend! First of all, I have to mention the food because it was AMAZING! The attention to detail and overall quality and taste was the best I’ve ever had, not only at a B&B, but breakfast ever. The location was perfect to have a view of beautiful Galena and still be walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops. Finally, I have to mention that Alex and Geoff are the sweetest, most hospitable hosts EVER! Trust me, if you need anything at all they will be happy to help! We will absolutely be back! Thanks for everything!

The house managers were gracious and helpful. We arrived at five and were given a tour of the main floor, registered for breakfast, and invited to have a glass of wine or tea and sit on the porch overlooking galena. After a six hour drive it was a lovely welcome. Next day breakfast began with choice of juice and an artistically arranged glass of fruit followed by a spinach feta quiche. Thanks to Geoff and Alex a good B & B experience was elevated to an excellent one.

A wonderful getaway in a beautiful location overlooking downtown Galena! Absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay ... the friendly staff, incredible breakfasts, afternoon cookies and wine, and the fascinating history of the inn. The front porch with its amazing views was an added bonus! Will be excited to see the finished carriage house. Got to see the work-in-progress and loved every bit of it!!

The home has been perfectly preserved. Alex and Geoff did a great job making us feel at home. We arrived in time for happy hour and enjoyed some great wine, delicious finger foods and sweet treats. Breakfast was divine, Eggs Benedict and malt waffles were better than anywhere we have eaten. Enjoy the sprawling views of the valley from the front porch with a cup of coffee. Main Street is easily accessible by foot, just a couple blocks away. When staying in Galena it is important to immerse yourself in the rich history of the town and this place does just that.

Planning our next stay as we speak! Alex and Geoff definitely made us feel at home. I looked forward to breakfast and happy hour each day we were there! The food is to die for Recommending this place to all family and friends of ours! The rooms at The Inn at Felt Manor are beautiful and well kept. Our room was clean and the service was a 10/10! First trip to Galena and definitely won't be out last!

Amazing stay! Geoff and Alex greeted us as we arrived. Alex helped with our bags while Geoff gave us a tour of the main floor. The room we stayed in was "The Katherine" and it's was beautiful. A quick drive to Main Street with plenty of food options. For the evening social hour, Geoff made homemade oreos. Breakfast was also amazing, their attention to detail and care of their guests was very evident. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful old mansion built about 1850. High ceilings, beautiful woodwork, etc. Several cozy sitting areas on main level. On a bluff overlooking the historic downtown; so great view. Best part are the hosts and their cooking and baking. I'm a vegan. They baked vegan pastries (along with the regular pastries) for the daily afternoon tea and wine reception. They cooked me a fantastic multi-course breakfast each morning. As a vegan it is often difficult to find anything suitable to eat; but here each day was a vegan feast! My wife is not a vegan and she also raved about the non-vegan offerings. This place is a treasure and we will definitely be going back.
